The Technical Director (TD) for ETD resides as a member of the command group and is the recognized authority on information technology and global information systems.
Assists in command execution of technical functions, such as developing short and long-range IT strategy, establishing organizational goals and objectives, evaluating WHCA?s technical performance and determining organizational and policy changes.
Provides top management continuity to the long-range information systems strategy, engineering plans and IT policies for WHCA and PITC.
Directs and supervises the study, analysis, and preparation of system engineering proposals which would have significant influence on the WHMO and PITC or on the operational support of WHCA to the Presidential support mission.
Responsible for preparing and defending the WHCA position on highly complex or controversial technical matters concerning the engineering, installation and integration of information system networks.
Leads small team of high functioning engineers based on direct guidance from WHCA TD/ETD Director.
This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

Qualifying Experience:

For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in providing technical direction and advice on complex and technical IT information systems operational matters.
